2024 Price Lists When Hunting Plains Game ~ Daily Rates per person per day: Hunter: $350 Non-Hunter: $280 Note: A “hunter” is defined as a person who harvests a minimum of 2 animals. Included in Daily Rates: -Fully qualified Professional Hunter -Fully equipped hunting vehicle -Tracker and Skinners -Skinning of animal and trophy handling up to time of dip and pack -Fully equipped lodge with en-suite bathroom facilities -Meals of South African Cuisine -Water, soft drinks, South Africa brand beer, wine, liquor (in moderation) -Daily laundry service -Trophy photography Excluded in Daily Rates: -Flights to and from South Africa and all connecting flights -Accommodations before and after safari -Day of Arrival and Day of Departure ($180 each way) -All permit fees for specialized game -Rifle rent and ammunition -Conservation Fee ($10 per animal) -15% VAT (Value Added Tax) -Dip and Pack of trophies ($180 per animal) -Shipping -Taxidermy -Gratuities Day of Arrival and Day of Departure (both non-hunting days): $180 per person each way ~ This fee covers airport pick-up and drop-off as well as meals/lodging for these additional days. Rifle Rental: $30 Rifle per day (for entire hunt) $50 Shotgun per day $5.95 per shot for rifle ammunition, $9.95 per shot larger caliber (375 and up) $1.30 per shot for shotgun ammunition All rifle scopes will be tested and aligned at the shooting range before the hunt begins. Day Trips: Standard per trip price of $325 per trip for vehicle and guide for the day (divided amongst the passengers with a maxiumum of 4) plus entrance fees. A list of possible day trips and entrance costs can be found on our “Other Activities” page. Hunting Days: Wild Wildebeest Lodge recommends 7 to 10 hunting days to assure you of quality trophies. Bow hunting requires a minimum of 10 hunting days and is best from July through September. There is also a minimum number of hunting days for the following: Pre-Arranged Permit Animals ~ minimum 7 days, 10-day minimum for African Wildcat, Caracal-Lynx, Civet, and Serval Cape Buffalo ~ minimum 7 days Crocodile ~ minimum 7 days Hippo ~ minimum 7 days Elephant ~ minimum 14 days Kudu ~ minimum 7 days Note that Wild Wildebeest Lodge does not allow back-to-back safaris. Additional Fees: Conservation Fee: $10 Per Animal ~ This goes to the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa for conserving endangered species in South Africa and prohibiting poaching. 15% VAT (Value Added Tax - which is similar to U.S. sales tax) ~ All items or services rendered has a government tax of 15%. This includes but is not limited to extra days and wounded/not recovered animals. Wounded/not recovered animals will be determined by the Professional Hunter and will be charged at full cost plus VAT. Note: If a package is purchased that includes specific animals, credit will not be given for animals not harvested on the safari. Animal Price List: (in U.S. dollars) ** = Pre-Arranged Permit Required (requires 2-month prior notice for permit applications) - minimum 7-day safari NOTE: The Department of Conservation in South Africa highly regulates all permitted animals. Wild Wildebeest Lodge can apply for a permit; however, understand that the Department of Conservation has the final decision on granting permits.
